CHELSEA READY TO SIGN ANOTHER AJAX’S STAR
Per reports in the English media, Chelsea are set to make an offer for Ajax fullback Nicolas Tagliafico. It is widely expected that manager Frank Lampard would strengthen the left-back position with current options Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri set to be sold in the summer. Lamoard has said in the past that he does not see the duo in his long term plan for the club.
Leicester defender Ben Chilwell is regarded as the first choice for the Blues but there are indications that he could be too expensive with the Foxes valuing the defender at around £70 million. This could force the club to look for less expensive options and Tagliafico has been identified as the perfect fit for the club.

The Scottish international had been the subject of an initial offer of £15 million which had been rejected last week. It had been expected that the new improved offer that was planned by the Gunners would have done the trick.
Within past weekend Northern Ireland has been able to achieve this with hard-fought victories at Estonia and at home to Belarus putting the nation top of the table. Jonny Evans one of the star players is delighted with his country’s start to the qualifiers.
The rapid recovery of Evans from a major toe problem basically means that he will definitely be available to Claude Puel for their trip to Molineux. The former player of Manchester United sustained this injury in the match against Southampton in which his team lost. After the checkup, it was suggested that he will be back in the team by the February’s end.
He said that the team has made some steady progress during the past months and he is sure that they will be able to build on this success. He said that there has been some disappointment ever since the team failed to qualify for the World Cup and that ever since that day they have been working on improving the team.
Sky Sports know that the Premier League, of last season and FA Cup runners-up will launch a different bid to sign the center-back of England, but at the same time they would require an offer of world record to acquire Maguire. Worldwide, Virgil van Dijk became the most expensive defender when he switched from Southampton to Liverpool last January for £75m.
