Dinnery discussed Jonny Evans and his injury woes in a chat with Adam Williams of popular English news portal Football Insider. According to him, Jonny Evans is managing an ongoing problem with plantar fasciitis and that it limited his playing time at the end of last season and the beginning of this season. He went on to say a proper pre-season programme would have helped the Northern Ireland international. Dinnery said that pre-season works in a way that the more the session the more robust the player is ready for the new season. Evans was unable to get adequate pre-season due to his foot injury and that this will have a knock-on effect for the rest of this season.
